Corporate Governance

Our Board of Directors is responsible for our long-term success and the strong governance of our mission.
Their role is to provide clear leadership and direction for Egypt GBC and to ensure that our culture aligns with our sustainability goals.

Eng. Hoda AnwarBoard Member

Hoda has over 14 years of experience in the Environmental Industry and more than 6 years as a specification writer. She is a LEED AP BD+C, working on LEED projects in the MENA region. She is also a member of the USGBC Faculty, a member at LEED Technical Advisory Committee Group Member, and Edge Expert.

She completed a Masters degree concentrating on Environmental Engineering Management & Technology, by discussing Air pollution control, water pollution control, soil pollution control, solid waste management, and environmental management tools and systems.

Eng. Heba Allah KarmanyBoard Member

With a BSc in Architecture Engineering from Ain Shams University and a MSc in Sustainable Development with a focus on green technologies from AUC Heba has over 10 years of experience having worked on a wide range of building types including offices, institutions, hotels, residences, and commercial buildings.

Her experience in the Middle East includes working on master planning as well as mixed-use projects. Her Master’s Thesis included the assessment of various green building rating systems and the enhancement of the current systems for new buildings in Egypt. She has experience in liaising with governmental authorities to obtain statutory approvals and ensure compliance with local regulations and international codes.

Eng. Radwa AminCommunications and Stakeholders Engagement Committee

For the past 14 years, Ms. Radwa Maher Amin has served as a mechanical and LEED expert. Her work has been committed to streamlining the design and construction phases in the construction industry to create efficiency and sustainability. Ms. Amin has worked in several reputable and multi-national consultancies and project management firms in Egypt and is committed to energy conservation and environmental responsibility.

She is currently the sustainability consultant for several projects in the MENA region that either aim to implement sustainability goals while in the design and construction phases or have the willingness to complete all necessary actions to acquire green building certifications such as Tarsheed, LEED, GSAS, Estidama, and others. She has a published article “Managing the Business of Sustainable Buildings” and has been a speaker several times in the field of sustainability. She is a Tarsheed Assessor, LEED AP BD+C and PMP professional

Eng. Khaled EzzeldinBusiness Development and Fundraising Committee

Engineer Khaled Ezzeldin is a Sustainability and Climate Change Consultant with 15 years of business advisory and project management experience in the fields of sustainable finance, climate change policy, environmental impact, and waste management, among others.

Khaled has managed and delivered various advisory, technical assistance, assurance, and project management assignments tackling sustainability, environment and climate change while advising major corporations, government bodies and international development organizations throughout his career. Khaled is a certified Sustainability/GRI trainer by the Global Reporting Initiative and certified Energy Management Lead Auditor by the International Register of Certified Auditors (IRCA).

Eng. Amira AyoubTechnical Committee

Amira is USGBC® LEED & WELL Faculty™ authorized as an experienced educator with a strong background in both LEED and professional education. As a LEED® AP BD+C and a WELL AP®, she holds the credentials of a Green Globes Professional® and a Green Classroom Professional®. She is a Living Future Accredited ™, and a Biophilic Design Ambassador, volunteering with the International Living Future Institute™ as a Collaborative Facilitator.

Amira is a frequent speaker on regenerative design, sustainable architecture, and rating systems, and is currently working as a consultant for sustainable projects.

Eng. Karim AbdelaalTechnical Committee

Karim gained his professional experience from consultancy firms and has experienced several types of projects including residential, commercial, office buildings, universities, and the extensions of the Holy Mecca Mosque.

Most of the projects were located throughout the Middle East, which exposed him to various types of building codes, regulations, social backgrounds, and construction techniques. He also completed a Diploma of Project Management from AUC, participated in an Architecture Heritage Workshop in ENSAM, France, received a Diploma in Public Policy from the School of Global Affairs at AUC, and is LEED AP, BD+C.
